TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: YANIN NAMASONTHI

Yanin Namasonthi, also known by idressmyselff and Pretty Sickly, has been one of my favourite bloggers/Instagram users for almost as long as I have been active in both areas. I think I had a mini fangirl moment when the lady herself followed me on Tumblr. Did I seriously just admit that?

Her style is so refreshing from the girly girly/high fashion style of so many current bloggers, she's edgy, exciting and has some incredible tattoos that make me itch to be under the needle again.

Whilst Yanin has a very distinctive style, her outfits often surprise and leave you wondering which trend she can reinvent and how to style the most coveted item of the moment. Bomber jacket anyone?

It's become apparent that she has a love affair with long line coats, oversized handbags and absolutely all things black. I'm pretty sure that makes us a fashion match made in heaven.

I feel that nothing looks out of place on this girl, she wears distressed jeans and monochrome Adidas trainers just as well as a girly geometric print two-piece and nude heels or a floral print jumpsuit.

The more I see of this incredible 21-year old, the more I feel inspired and in awe at how brilliant she is for more than just her quirky sense of style.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: JESSICA ALBA

Jessica Alba is quite the dark horse in the fashion world - to me at least. I'd always known the Western beauty for her acting abilities, what I wasn't aware of until scribbling down notes for this piece, is that Jessica Alba also lends her talents to the modeling world and is also a keen businesswoman as well as being a mum of two. Oh, did I also mention that she's an ultra style icon? Surely all of this makes her close to Beyoncé status.

First of all, anyone who can look flawless in a simple pair of denim jeans deserves a medal, whilst they can be styled which way, Jessica seems to bring the chicest of styling when hitting the streets. Midi skirts fill me with glee, I'll admit that I tend to look terrible in them because of my short height, but Ms Alba flounces so gracefully and looks beautiful by teaming them with strappy heeled sandals.

Her style is captivating whilst still remaining simple and her ensembles seem effortless. 

Jessica appears to be the chicest businesswoman, fit for the boardroom but also ready for after hours drinks with a helping hand from a trust leather jacket. She appears to live for her heeled, platformed and flat sandals and she looks as killer in jeans as she does is the most form fitting dress or floral two-piece.

I'm pretty sure I've never been so riddled with hat envy as I am with this lady.

However, the most beautiful piece she wears is that bright sunshine smile, now that's the most versatile thing she could ever wear.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: OLIVIA PURVIS

As you are all probably more than aware by now, my favourite things are fashion, blogging, baking and Instagram and I have longed to find another human who then all of the above as much as I. As soon as I clapped eyes on Liv's Instagram, I knew I'd found my match, the girl who brought my dreams to life.

If you're not familiar with Liv's name then maybe her blog, What Olivia Did, is more recognisable to you.

Clad in breton stripes, Charlotte Olympia kitty pumps and oversized hats, there's little to no reason not to be hopelessly in love with the adorable blogger. 

There's no denying that Olivia was born in the completely wrong era, I can almost hear the sixties calling for her and trying to claim her as their own, but lucky for us, we get to experience her old (and new) style in the 21st century.

She brings true femininity to life whilst not being afraid to explore different avenues of fashion, and that's what makes every young fash-blogger heavily swoon as they scroll through her blog and Instagram alike.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: VANESSA HUDGENS

This months Trendsetter Tuesday star has been on my radar for the last 9 years, back when she was wide eyed, timid Gabriella Montez in High School Musical.

Everyone has an opinion of Vanessa Hudgens but her style is nothing to be messed with, or doubted. She's a healthy mix of pure white, leather chic and boho goddess. Oh, and she's also the queen of Coachella fashion. That's excluding her actual working credits as a singer and actress. Phew!

I'm so mesmerised by her, it also doesn't harm that she's played Mimi in a production of one of my all time fave musicals alongside Aaron Tveit (giddy Sam has returned). Did you know that she is currently performing on Broadway, too?

It seems I'm not the only one who see's this star as a Trendsetter as she was crowned the Trendsetter of the Year award at the Young Hollywood Awards in 2014. (See her outfit for the awards above, 4th in from the left)

There aren't tears rolling down my cheeks over that far right image, I just have Vanessa sized rocks in my eyes.

She rocks hats in ways like no other (I'm suffering from serious envy!). Look how effortless she looks in a black sleeveless tee, leather shorts, ankle boots and a denim shirt. On the red carpet!

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: KENDALL JENNER

Kendall Jenner seems to be absolutely everywhere right now, you'll be hard pressed to find a newsstand that doesn't have at least 3 magazines with her on the cover. The main feature. If it wasn't crazy enough that she's part of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, she's now pretty much the most sought after model of the moment. It's hardly surprising though.

It's been a little over a year since I featured Kendall's little sister Kylie as my Trendsetter Tuesday and I've been itching to feature the older Jenner sister ever since. Biding my time seems wise and I subconsciously I must have known why.

It's time to present one of my ultimate style icons. 

Her style is absolutely stunning, she pulls everything off so effortlessly and it's very rare for me to actually disagree with a fashion choice of hers. Ripped jeans and strappy heeled sandals is definitely one of my favourite trends.

She can go from edgy, to fashionista, to classy so seamlessly. It's like seeing another person as opposed to one persons transition.

Kendall also suits red in ways I could only dream of. 

Nothing she wears seems like she is trying too hard, if she wants to dress really casual then she has no qualms, she goes ahead and dresses simple. 

Not only is her wardrobe just stunning, her shoe collection is just perfection. I'd gladly take a few (hundred) pairs off her hands.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: TAYLOR SWIFT

Today marks the relaunch of my Trendsetter Tuesday feature and I couldn't be any more excited! I know it's been quite a long while since the last time I shared one of my style icons with you, but the new year produced new ideas and I decided this needed to make a comeback. This time it will be a little different, the first Tuesday of every month I will post a new trendsetter unlike the weekly feature it used to be. I can't stress how time consuming these posts are and it's just not feasible these days.

There was no hesitation when deciding on this months TT, my emotions for her have been like a light switch over the years, on and off like no ones business, but this time I think I'm going to love her for good. No switching back off.

Whilst being the most adorable popstar in the world (!) she's so wonderful with her fans, so so talented and has the raddest fashion sense ever. From her girly, patterned sundresses to her raunchy onstage attire, there's simply no telling what we will see her in from one day to the next.

It was hard condensing a selection of images to showcase her style, but below are a few strong examples of why I love her so. 

She is the ultimate queen in her tartan co-ords as she is in her lace dresses.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: NICOLE RICHIE

The first time I saw Nicole Richie I'm pretty sure I fell in love with her, the - well I wanted to use the word extroverted, however after a mild meander around Urban Dictionary, one may find the term brutal and offensive so I'll stick with calling her - outspoken and hilarious teen drew me in alongside her former BFF Paris Hilton on the reality show The Simple Life. I must have been around 10 years old when I first saw the show but I couldn't help but be constantly bemused by Nicole. She was infectious and crazy and... her fashion choices left a lot to be desired.

Thankfully as years passed by and she matured, her fashion taste has improved tenfold, but her comedic streak never left, that's the reason I adore her new tv show Candidly Nicole. 

If you haven't seen either show mentioned, I suggest you fix that right after you've finished reading this. Obviously.

At 10 years old, I was also obsessed with her -now husband - Joel Madden. Good Charlotte were the greatest gift on earth to me back then. So it seems fitting to have found them both around the same time.

Richie has now managed to make her mark on the fashion industry, fronting campaigns for Bongo Jeans and Jimmy Choo, as well as creating maternity wear, accessories and a general women's line. Often seen in the chicest of outfits, looking incredible and effortlessly stylish, Nicole is an underrated gem in the fashion world.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY - STYLE BLOGGER EDITION: CHARLOTTE FISHER

After a month of zero Trendsetter Tuesday posts, I'm returning in favour of my style blogger crush of the moment, Charlotte Fisher, pastel queen and owner of Things I Do, Think and Buy!

My love for her blog and outfits came a few months back when I discovered this little gem on Instagram, obsessed with her own pastel obsession and the amount of pink I found within her posts, major weakness!

I find it incredibly refreshing when bloggers I admire incorporate brands such as Primark in their every day outfits, it shows how their items can be completely transformed when paired with the correct garments and how accessible it is as a store.

I seriously have not been this shoe envious since I swooned (and cried) over Danielle Bernstein's Miu Miu loafers.

The amount of pink draws me in everytime, whilst it's my favourite colour it's not a colour I often wear, however after seeing Charlotte's posts, I've found myself buying much more colour and trying to abandon my monochrome ways.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: MEGAN ELLABY

Firstly I must apologise that this week's TT is more of a Trendsetter Wednesday, I'm a day late and feel godawful for it. If you've been following me on Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr lately then you'll know about my weekend away mixed with extensive college work. That's my excuse. Sorry.

This week I have chosen blogger Megan Ellaby of Pages by Megan, shamefully I only discovered her blog this evening by flipping through the pages of the July issue of Company. Verdict; I'm hooked.

I like to think that Megan's style is exactly how I would want to dress, perhaps how I dress mixed with a much cooler essence.

Leather gilets, black ripped jeans and heeled mules are my weakness which is a look she encapsulates perfectly.

Megan manages to capture a grungy/rocky side often, but still looks incredible in a girlier ensemble.

New obsession? I think so.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: SUKI WATERHOUSE

Suki Waterhouse is a name often thrown around in the press and on news sites when linked to her Hollywood actor boyfriend, Bradley Cooper. 

However, this 22 year old Brit is famous for more than a swoon-worthy boyfriend, having appeared in 3 films and modelling for multiple brands including Burberry, as well as being represented by Next Model Management, the same agency that represents Alexa Chung, Jodie Kidd and Binx.

Ms Waterhouse is a relatively new addition to my TT list, and upon my first Google search I was beginning to question whether I had just been lucky enough to find a couple of good outfits from her on Tumblr, however as I was about to give up with only 5 pictures to back up my point, I stumbled across a whole host of pictures that had me obsessing over Suki once and for all!

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: JESY NELSON

Jesy Nelson is famous for being one quarter of Brit girl group Little Mix as well as being an inspiration to girls all over the globe, myself included, for her weight troubles which she has conquered and looks as flawless as ever. This week seemed fitting to feature an LM member as the first of my three shows from their tour takes place in Liverpool on Friday! (excited!) 

Whilst Jesy is a very obvious choice for me, I'm sure you've seen one half of the band being featured in previous weeks, I feel she's a very important choice as she's different, edgy and a very rocky option. My own style has changed a lot from my early to mid-teens but if Jesy had been in the public eye when I was that age and wearing those outfits, then she would have been very inspiring to a teenager rocker. I would have killed to have worn outfits like she does.

It helps to identify with her style when I once aspired to wear ensembles like that, especially looking the way she does.

Her own style has flipped 180 since the start of Little Mix, she's almost unrecognisable. Once clad in leggings and UGG boots, now sporting leather hotpants and, what most of us describe as, goth boots.

Maybe I'm biased when it comes to Jesy, but when she looks so gorgeous in the most edgy and rocky way as she does, who can blame me?

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: BLAKE LIVELY

It's hard to believe that Blake Lively is only 26 years old, not because of her appearance, but simply because of how many years it seems she has been shown on television and the silver screen.

Once dubbed as Karl Lagerfeld's muse (although, at this point, who hasn't been?), this starlet is now the face of Gucci whilst her husband fronts a Hugo Boss campaign. 

Since the get go, Blake has been branded a style icon, even back when she was 17/18 and staring in teen movie The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. With her elegant ensembles and classy poses, girls and guys alike simply swoon over this blonde bombshell.

Blake Lively excels in everything, especially her acting and her wardrobe. 

Besides, what is Gossip Girl without Serena Van Der Woodsen and her mixed bag closet?

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: DAISY LOWE

Surprise or not, I'm very excited to share this week's Trendsetter Tuesday with you. I'm unsure whether it has something to do with the fact that I've nearly deleted her name off my TT list so many times, very conflicted whether I could actually find enough images to include her, but after soon extensive (Google image) research, I decided that she had to be here. 

Daisy is an unusual choice because for every great outfit she wears, you could probably find two fashion faux pas in her style vault. with that being said, when this girl gets it right, she really nails it.

Daughter of Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and Pearl Lowe, and step-daughter to Gwen Stefani, is an elite member of the extensive-yet-exclusive new-gen Primrose Hill set. Move over Mossy, Gallaghers bros and Sadie Frost - Nick Grimshaw, Harry Styles, Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe (plus many more) have officially stolen your PH status. It's about time really. The '90's was so... 20 years ago.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: PIXIE LOTT

Pixie Lott, or Victoria Louise Lott, born on 12th January 1991 is a singer-songwriter, dancer and actress, famous for her infectious poppy tracks and her as equally as infectious style.

The singer is most notably famous for her songs such as 'Boys and Girls', 'Nasty' and 'Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)'. 

In some ways, her style very much reminds me of Perrie Edwards, mixed with Cher Horowitz (think Clueless, people!), mixed with Mollie King.

She likes to dabble with fur outlined jackets, or trimmed shorts, bright colours, but also lots of black that still manages to look feminine and sexy. It appears that this girl isn't afraid of trying something new and rocks whatever she wears, regardless.

I really don't know how you do it, Pixie.

Denim overalls, a black roll neck sweater, loafers and a top bun is the cutest casual wear. I'll never tire of the overalls trend. Also, who doesn't love a teddy bear fur cuffed and neck gingham jacket?

If there is one thing Ms Lott wears like no other, it's flower crowns. An absolute festival must-have.

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: LILY COLLINS

If you aren't familiar with this week's Trendsetter Tuesday, then you're definitely about to be. This Brit-American actress slash model, and daughter of musician Phil Collins, is Hollywood's latest and hottest starlet.

After minor acting and presenting roles on 90210 and Nickelodeon, respectively, she received worldwide recognition in 2012 after starring alongside Julia Roberts in the modern Snow White 'Mirror Mirror'.

Since then she has gone on to star in The Mortal Instruments with ex-boyfriend, fellow Brit and Burberry poster boy Jamie Campbell Bower.

As well as her acting career, Miss Collins has certainly made waves with her style and those divine thick brows. Step aside Cara D.

Whilst Lily is, more often than not, seen in monochrome ensembles, or fully black, she's not shy of incorporating a splash of colour, looking effortless whilst doing so. 

Fedoras, camel coats and sandals on a walk around the city? Why not.

(She really needs to pass that Givenchy sweater on to me too)
