The first time I saw Nicole Richie I'm pretty sure I fell in love with her, the - well I wanted to use the word extroverted, however after a mild meander around Urban Dictionary, one may find the term brutal and offensive so I'll stick with calling her - outspoken and hilarious teen drew me in alongside her former BFF Paris Hilton on the reality show The Simple Life. I must have been around 10 years old when I first saw the show but I couldn't help but be constantly bemused by Nicole. She was infectious and crazy and... her fashion choices left a lot to be desired.
Thankfully as years passed by and she matured, her fashion taste has improved tenfold, but her comedic streak never left, that's the reason I adore her new tv show Candidly Nicole.
If you haven't seen either show mentioned, I suggest you fix that right after you've finished reading this. Obviously.
At 10 years old, I was also obsessed with her -now husband - Joel Madden. Good Charlotte were the greatest gift on earth to me back then. So it seems fitting to have found them both around the same time.
Richie has now managed to make her mark on the fashion industry, fronting campaigns for Bongo Jeans and Jimmy Choo, as well as creating maternity wear, accessories and a general women's line. Often seen in the chicest of outfits, looking incredible and effortlessly stylish, Nicole is an underrated gem in the fashion world.

ReplyDeleteI am way intrigued by her style now. I didn't really know much about her other than her reputation because of the Simple Life (which, you know, reputations are stupid). I might have to give her and Candidly Nicole a try. :)
