THE SUMMER SANDALS EDIT

For someone who pretty much hates feet (or at least the general appearance of them) I sure love sticking on a pair of sandals and getting them out for the summer. Dressing them up, treating them well and sticking something exciting on my feet is my style highlight and something I'll never tire of.

Every summer I love to pore over endless clothing sites to find shoes I can throw my money at and dancing around my room like I have oh so many places to go and wear them. But that's just a minor detail, right?

Mango have really nailed it this season so I may have to make a cheeky purchase after this post publishes.... oops. From high street to high end, I've compiled a lengthy list of the footwear I'm currently coveting for the summer!

£30 or under

Under £100

Over £250

I can't wait to get building more outfits all around my shoes!

What are your top picks? What shoes are you loving this season?

CURRENTLY COVETING: TOP 40 WINTER PICKS

Alright-Sunshine-Currently-Coveting-Top-40-Fashion-Wishlist

Considering my great love for all things pink (yes, it's my favourite colour, yes, half of my room is accented and decorated with pink), my wardrobe is severely lacking in any shade of that colour aside from the odd jumper and tee, so this year I'm definitely going to incorporate it more into my statement pieces. Oh and red, always more red (someone tell fifteen year old me that she will love red again).

I've been feeling really on/off with Topshop over the past couple of years, after a solid 2/3 years of a wardrobe consisting of mostly TS items, I found myself wavering from them and not really feeling what they were putting out. Well, apparently they're switching it up a bit now (at least to my taste) because I'm wanting pretty much everything they have in right now. From square to boots to layered skirts to adorable boxy handbags, I've been won over once again.

Another thing I've definitely not tired of yet (and thankfully neither has the fashion world) is polka dots / spots. honestly, at this rate I'm not going to own anything that doesn't have a spot of two on here or there. From dresses to skirt to blouses to hair scrunchies, you name it I have it / want it.

MY NYC PACKING WISH LIST

*This post contains affiliate links that, when clicked, may result in myself earning a commission from that click and/or purchase. Please do not click any associated links in this post if you are unhappy with this. Full disclaimer here.*

With just over 4 weeks until I head off to NYC, I'm scouring all the shops (and online stores) to find some of the best buys to keep me cosy, yet chic, in the Big Apple. Who says the cold weather calls for frumpy and thick clothing?

First off, I basically want to buy all of H&M right now because their sweaters are so cute and ridiculously cheap. Don't even get me started on their scarves and hats. 1 of everything, please?
I've already bought a couple of knitwear pieces from them this week (see the scarf above) and I'm pretty much going to live in them for the rest of winter.

Every A/W I always struggle to find a coat I either love enough to fork out for, or one that I'll actually wear at an affordable price. That pretty much sums up why I just live in my khaki Matalan parka for 5 months straight. However, there are some absolutely lush biker jackets about right now such as New Look pink jacket, Topshop Shearling & Boohoo Black Eloise that look so cosy and toasty! I definitely want them all.

After some hunting I've made a little wishlist (complete with links) so you can enjoy the rest of your Winter looking ridiculously cool (but totes warm).
Grey scarf  |  Reversible scarf  |  Boohoo biker jacket  |  Burgundy pom hat  |  Grey pom hat  |  Gloves  |  Topshop biker jacket

Black blouse  |  Metallica shirt  |  Grey sweater  |  Black tassel jeans  |  Western belt  |  Sunglasses  |  Vans  |  MOTO rose skirt

You're welcome.

If you have any NYC recommendations then please leave them in the comments below or share them with me on Twitter/Instagram!

THE ASOS A/W WISHLIST

With Autumn in full swing and my birthday only 4 days away, I've been trawling the trusty pages of ASOS for some idea of what to spend my pennies on once my day/Payday comes a-calling.

There are endless pages of inspiration. classic items and pieces that I want to wear for the rest of my twenties.

Slogan shirts are the funnest form of expression in fashion without having to be too exuberant, it's a statement in text-fashion form. I totally need a 'Bugger Off' striped tee, right?

As you may be aware, Megan from Pages By Megan, is in my top 5 bloggers so you can imagine my excitement when the ASOS stylist released a line of tops with the brand. I love the collection so much the I featured 2 above, check the bottom middle 2.

Turkey 2015 left me with a strong want for the black Adidas jacket above (don't ask why) and then throw in Louis Tomlinson wearing it at the One Direction show I went to a week later, I'm totally in love. And that polka top is a must too!

Suede skirts are officially one of my obsessions, make is a button down and it fast becomes my fave thing ever.
Patchwork + Suede + Button down A-line skirt = Heart eye emoji.

I wasn't anticipating totally digging the seventies despite it's appearance in the last few seasons... but it happened and I love love love fur, platforms, anything suede and how grown up the seventies trend has been transformed into.

After snapping up a pair of black platform ASOS boots in January, I've wanted to wear them at every available opportunity. They're so versatile, quirky and a nice nod to the golden age of disco. Whilst my boots are no longer available, you can still buy the knee length or ankle versions as seen above.

Pink crushed velvet boots? It's like 1999 again when I wore the blue top as seen in Steps Tragedy! Nostalgia can be such a reality check.

Bomber jackets and fur, yeah baby yeah! Fur is lavish, bombers are casual yet it's all so stylish and my fave thing about this season.

How is your ASOS wishlist shaping up?

50 SHADES OF GREY: FASHION

The hype around the Sam Taylor-Johnson directed, fan fiction writer written 50 Shades of Grey film has been phenomenal, but it hasn't had me rushing out to the cinema and I shan't be doing so anytime soon. The thought of seeing 2 actors who apparently had no chemistry participating in severe sexual acts has me more uncomfortable than the thought of watching it with my mum. I feel strongly about correct casting in any cinematic endeavours.

Instead, I was more excited about 50 shades of grey clothing. And no, I don't mean 'Yes Way, Mr Grey' slogan shirts. I genuinely saw that in River Island.

At first thought, grey sounds unbearably bleak and when the sky is coloured with it, you're right. But different shades of grey can actually be quite exciting, especially when brands and designers create just the right piece. It's always exceptional when you think white is included.

(NB. Not all items are still available, a fair portion are no longer sold)
Quite often I forget the resemblance between silver and grey, yet that coat dress is just the perfect mix of both and gives a sheen to the shade. Those Dune loafers are a tease, I'm definitely on the hunt for a slightly cheaper pair as I know they'll be perfect for the summer.

The longline blazer above has slightly blue tones, another colour that I tend to overlook as a family link to grey. Chiara Ferragni's silver glittered flats are a perfect way to incorporate grey into your outfit in a fun and quirky way. Those H&M dungarees are also new in and are only £14.99.
If you're feeling those brightly coloured Nike running shoes are getting old, then these mid grey ones are a perfect alternative to colour or plain black. I've noticed a lot of white has crept into these sets but can you really blame me? I adore grey knit sweaters, I own a pale one and I wear so often as it's so versatile.
A grey fedora is something I'm really lacking. After owning a black one and a camel one,  I feel grey is definitely my next step. A button down white skirt is perfect fir summer, I definitely need a replacement one fir my too-big DKNY one. The checkered skirt shown here is absolutely wonderful, it showcases a few different shades which makes it much more versatile. Just pick out each colour and you're matched!

White heeled, peep toe mules. Gasp!
The 'Je Parle Francais' tee opened my eyes to navy and grey, and boy do they look great together! Marl grey is also such a trend at the moment, I love the sleeveless roll neck above. Can someone please buy me these suede Burberry boots?

So it isn't a bright colour but it looks fantastic with colour pops such as orange, lime green, bright pink etc.

I'd love to see how style grey. Tweet me pictures or send me links of your outfits.

CURRENTLY COVETING

Right now I'm really lusting after these beauties, whilst I'm deeply saddened by my current love for the AC X AG line, I'm on the lookout for some great dupes. Yes I am super sad that the Miss Selfridge denim button up skirt isn't being restocked until March!

Denim is my absolute favourite now, I really need a shopping spree where I binge on all things denim. And dugarees.

These platform shoes are divine and would pretty much look incredible with everything so I may have to talk myself into spending my pennies on them.

I am also definitely trying to find the perfect pair of flares! If you see any you think I'd like then send me links in the comment below or on Twitter/Tumblr/Pinterest etc.

A/W14 | HIGH STREET WISHLISTS

Whilst I love pretty much everything about summer, my favourite time of year for fashion has to be Autumn/Winter, but then again what fashion enthusiast doesn't feel the same? Finding the right items can be tricky though, sometimes browsing through a store for particular items can prove to be a lot harder than first thought, I think this in pretty much every store I walk into and then as I'm leaving with empty hands. Or perhaps you find the right style of garment but the colour is just a shade on the wrong side, taking something potentially must-have season worthy, to I think I'll leave everyone else to style that terribly. It feels like a constant stream of are my pyjamas suitable to wear in public?

The answer unfortunately is no. Those fleeced teddy bear pj's should not be seen outside of the house, but you can still be comfortable or you can still find something you love without breaking the bank.

If you're having troubles with what to wear this A/W or you're simply curious what I'm loving on the High Street this season, then see my top picks below.

H&M
Topshop
River Island
Mango

Warehouse
New Look

Miss Selfridge

Ladies and gentleman, the monochrome queen is back.

Stay amazing xox

P.S. Comment with links to your wishlists, I'd love to see them!

THE MAY WISHLIST EDIT: ZARA

With Spring officially here, I'm lusting over everything, and everything, that represents the seasons warm and happy vibes. I've always been fond of Zara, ever since the first time I stepped into the store, but this season's collection is simply beautiful.

I don't recall a time where I was overly fond of the colour yellow, but now I can't stop gawping as how classic is looks in something simple like a lemon coat or a oversized clutch bag.

1. This white 'Stressed But Well Dressed' embossed clutch bag had me swooning back in February when I saw a picture floating it's way around Tumblr. After searching high and low, I was out of luck until I stumbled across it on their website whilst looking for the yellow one (see #2)! At £19.99, it's hard to resist. So don't.
 (Buy) (Bought!)

2. Similar concept to #1, this vivacious yet toned down yellow clutch can completely reinvent your outfit during the Spring/Summer months. The 'HAVE FUN' wording is always a nice reminder on those boring days too.  (Buy) (Bought!)

3. This season, this dress is on of Zara most sought after piece. With it's Kenzo Fall/Winter 2013 eye print, high neck and full back zip, it's not hard to see why everyone is eyeing up this dress with utter lust. (My puns are atrocious, I apologise.) (Currently Sold Out)

4. During summer, you mostly cannot survive wearing a midi skirt without feel too warm and uncomfortable. However, this cut work skirt is effect, with its square cut repetition and mini underskirt lining, you'll be feeling fresh whilst still keeping on trend with an ultra stylish midi skirt. (Currently Sold Out)

5. Pale blue jeans are my personal faves for summer, living in England it's rare to have an extended period of kind and warm weather, but that does not mean we need to dress for winter. These distressed, pale slim fit jeans are perfect for those cooler summer days and look perfect with ... well anything really. Jeans are a staple piece and for those cooler (climate) countries, these are a must. (Buy)

6. With warmer weather, comes an expanse of shorts, hotpants, knee-length, bermuda, denim, jean etc. High-waisted shorts are the greatest invention ever, however. Throwing on white high waisted shorts and a bralet, crop top or a plain t-shirt is effortless without looking like you threw an outfit on in 2 minutes. Not only are they practical, but if you're someone like me who carries a little extra weight around your middle, then they're perfect for giving you additional support and flattening you.
(Buy)

7. These bags have been a lust of mine for months (why I haven't bought one yet is still a mystery to me). First of all, do not be put off by the image, they are a lot bigger and roomier in person. In two swoon worthy shades of pink and blue, they simply are a must if you're looking for that deep pastel coloured everyday bag. (Buy)

8. Pale, Pastel, Yellow. You beautiful, wonderful colour that I overlooked my whole life. (I'm bitter, like a lemon. I'm sorry) My love for pastel coats is ever growing (unlike my collection which stands at zero), and this coats is another to add to my long, tiresome, and expensive list. Perfect for the still chilled air of-mid Spring, whilst still appearing ready to embrace the colourful side of this somewhat in-between weather. And the design/style is simply divine. (Buy)

9. (Buy) I'm a sucker for cut out boots and these are no exception!

10. Oh. My. Days. I'm the first to admit my extensive love for the colour pink, but these stunning high heeled, pointed Mary-Jane-esque shoes literally make me want to sob over their perfection. Hopelessly trying to persuade myself why I shouldn't buy them. (Buy)

11. See point 9. (I also adore white shoes, these are a must!) (Buy)

12. Once upon a time, I thought mules were the ugliest shoe I had ever seen (aside from Crocs obviously) and the mere sight of them made me cringe. This is absolutely no longer the case thanks to these high heeled, peep toed, sleek mules. Whilst they are a pair of shoes that I could see myself wearing quite a lot, it does't stop my want. (Buy)

What items do you have your sights on at the moment?

Stay amazing xox
