THE SUMMER SANDALS EDIT

For someone who pretty much hates feet (or at least the general appearance of them) I sure love sticking on a pair of sandals and getting them out for the summer. Dressing them up, treating them well and sticking something exciting on my feet is my style highlight and something I'll never tire of.

Every summer I love to pore over endless clothing sites to find shoes I can throw my money at and dancing around my room like I have oh so many places to go and wear them. But that's just a minor detail, right?

Mango have really nailed it this season so I may have to make a cheeky purchase after this post publishes.... oops. From high street to high end, I've compiled a lengthy list of the footwear I'm currently coveting for the summer!

£30 or under

Under £100

Over £250

I can't wait to get building more outfits all around my shoes!

What are your top picks? What shoes are you loving this season?

BLUE JEANS, WHITE SHIRT

*This post contains affiliate links that, when clicked, may result in myself earning a commission from that click and/or purchase. Please do not click any associated links in this post if you are unhappy with this. Full disclaimer here.*

For the duration of summer, I'm definitely planning on sharing a new outfit each Tuesday, however choosing something new each week is something a little more difficult than first realised. The reason? I'm now unemployed and money isn't quite as easy to spend when you're living off your savings. Still, time off is definitely rewarding!

This shirt was pushed to the back  of my wardrobe some months ago, after buying a thicker, prettier and crisper shirt from a River Island sale, I decided this was not to be worn unless desperate seeing as it's so paper thin (no thanks). But, after pulling it back out of the closet, I found it super comfortable and looks surprisingly neat with my trusty old Jamie jeans which are virtually sewn onto my legs. Sorry not sorry.

I'm a sucker for sales, in fact most of my clothes are purchased at a reduced price (although that's totally not good for a future fashion student, time to bite the bullet and buy this season) and these shoes are no exception. These Miss Selfridge shoes are comfortable yet totally gorgeous and versatile sandals that I'm now going to wear forever!

I guess it's time to raid the pile to find the next outfit!

THE OUTFIT EDITION: PASTEL PJS & HEELED MULES

Summer has managed to fly by and is dramatically drawing to a close, so I'm trying my hardest to make the most of the sunshine and sporadic warmth outside of work. Like taking walks on my lunch break, eating lots of salads and wearing mini skirts until the weather flat out refuses to let me do so anymore!

Let's all take a moment to cheer a chorus of hallelujah's at my first actual outfit post, one that doesn't include me, my camera, a tripod and my garden shed. That actually deserves a hell yes and a glass of wine. Well it would if I actually liked wine.

This post also celebrates the new name of the blog! Tea and Topshop is long gone, and Alright Sunshine is here to take it's place in a much more exciting fashion. That definitely deserves a glass or two of something. Cheers!

Back to the outfit.

I bought this shirt in the sale a few weeks back and I've been itching to wear it ever since. It has the comfort of a silky pyjama shirt whilst being chic enough to rock at a number of events and occasions.

Stay tuned for more outfit posts and goss from my London trip this weekend!

THE SPRING EDIT: PASTELS

Its crazy just how excited the pastel trend makes me, like I'm bordering on being unhealthily obsessed with the creamy colours and pale tones. Therapy may be needed asap.

Thankfully you can't move from shop to shop without seeing some form of pastels, my bank account would probably prefer the term 'sadly' because I'm spending lots of dosh on some divine pieces that I'm incredibly excited to wear to death.

A few weeks back, after spending an evening on Polyvore, I realised that I had created a range of sets including a heavily pastel infused collection and I had to share it with you all.

We all must embrace the trend, and why leave it just down to your clothes? Get those accessories, make up, footwear and nail polishes to match!

Here are some of my favourite polishes to brighten up those nails for the Spring months!

Nails, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Primark have had some amazing things in so far that I've snatched up quick before they sold out.

I'm also obsessing over gingham too, so keep an eye out for a feature on that soon!

Check back soon for my pastel haul.
