WHAT'S IN MY BAG? - EVERYDAY EDITION

What's in My Bag is quite possibly in the top five most popular blog posts for fashion/beauty bloggers, it's hard to tell why, maybe we're all just unbelievably or maybe we're all itching to know everyone else's secrets and see if our own bags are lacking in something. My bag's always full to the brim, yet it still feels lacking.
I've been meaning to share this post since I was a Wordpress blogger back in 2013, and truth be told, I have no idea why it's taken me almost two years but here it is! Today I picked up a plain white mount board and started flatlaying!
I'm definitely in need of some softboxes and ring lighting, if you know of anything relatively cheap then please please please (with a cherry on top) leave me some links or recommendations in the comment section below.
I didn't pick an uber glamourous bag, or anything super swish, because this is a realistic What's in My Bag, and it's an Everyday Edition so I chose one of my cute everyday bags that I'm totally in love with. This is an £8 Primark drawstring bucket bag and it's so comfy and looks great with errthang!
I literally cannot leave the house, even to pop to town for an hour, with my phone, face powder, Real Techniques Multi-Task Brush, purse (obviously), eyelines, hand cream, lip balm, lipstick and sunglasses. I feel so lost and wrong without them!
Every work day I carry my iPad around with me as well as y Minnie Mouse Blog notebook, it's the cutest thing and perfect for when I want to physically write ideas down instead of typing everything out on my iPad. It definitely fills my daily commute time with blog planning (and jigsaw puzzle playing!).
Isn't my phone cover the greatest thing in the world?!

What are your absolute daily bag essentials that you carry with you everywhere?
I'd love to see your similar posts so please drop them in the comments below along with your recommendations (see above for lighting).

BRIGHT LIGHTS BIG CITY

There are those cities in the world that make my heart skip a beat no matter how many times I visit, and London? Well London right at the top of that list.

2 weeks back I took to the city on my own for the first time (ever!) to see one of my favourite bands live for possibly the last time (sob sob sob). My mind was reeling with places I wanted to go, things to do and truth be told, I didn't think I'd have time to breathe let alone do everything I wanted to. So maybe spending the Friday afternoon curled up on a double Travelodge bed, eating Yorkie's and watching Graceland, wasn't what I had in mind but after a tiring Paris trip, walking around Covent Garden in boots that crushed my feet and carrying an oversized bag that weighed a tonne, who can blame me?

I'd like to point out that I am still buzzing from seeing one of my favourite albums ever performed live in full and meeting the lovely guys from Cartel. I managed to gush to them about how their music carried me through my teens, how I've adored them since I was twelve years old and best of all, had a good old chat with them, especially Kevin who is def my new fave person. Can you say, besties?

London also presented me with my new favourite place, possibly ever - is that much? This place above is actual heaven in a shop, yeah really. I feel like they managed to create everything I wanted in one place without me realising I actually wanted it! You can drink tea, eat cake and listen to some of the greatest musicals tracks ever written and recorded. If that wasn't awesome enough, they have free wifi, iPads on every table and you can request any song you like. I could kiss the person who put on Goodbye from Catch Me If You Can, I totally didn't squeal and beam like the sun.

If you're heading into the city and you're around the Shaftesbury Avenue area, I definitely recommend you head in, even if just for the delicious Pecan, Honey & Banana cake.

You can find the cafe just opposite the Queen's Theatre, the home of Les Miserables.

July cannot come quick enough when I can properly explore London - and eat a lot more of that cake!

MINI LOVE

When in Paris, with beautiful picturesque backdrops, landmarks a plenty and photo-ops galore, I'll admit - I envisioned a multitude of outfit pictures stored on the ol' Nikon to share with you that would have made me feel pretty wonderful. Alas, it's much easier being on the other side of the camera - for both parties involved - when one is confident snapping the world and the other can't figure the angles and shots because they haven't seen the photographs you have, doesn't understand DSLR's and fascinating blogger shots (that' not a slight on you, mum, promise!).

However, I still came away with a few pictures of 3 different outfits from my little Paree jaunt.

I went on such a shopping spree (okay, I went on a few) before the trip, especially when Topshop were offering students 20% off, how could I ever resist? Their skirts have been so divine lately and I've been really feeling them this spring/summer, so I've been on the hunt for some faves. Plus, how cute is my bargain yellow H&M Jacket?!
Whilst my Converse aren't my most stylish shoes, comfort is key when walking for miles each day - they were an absolute godsend. And versatile!

I've also only just realised that I'm wearing the same top in all three outfits, just in different colours, oops?

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY: RACHEL GREEN

If I were to name my ultimate 90's babe there's no doubt that I'd say Jennifer Aniston, because let's be honest, she's the ultimate babe of the last 20 years. Of course, with the height of Jen-An's career being perky, sassy and top telly fashionista Rachel Green, that makes them both the 90's queen.

She rocked that plaid mini skirt and knee highs in ways no one else could and made loungewear look desirable. Don't even get me started on the hair!

Everything was pulled off with an effortless essence of cool, she made dungarees seem appealing and sun without looking like a giant adult baby, who'd have thought it, eh?

It's surreal that a tv character has been such a style icon over the past 20 years and influenced many.

Take a look at some of Rachel Green's finer moments.

Trendsetter Tuesday has changed slightly this month, you can keep up on Pinterest instead and swoon over a bunch more images that what I usually show you! Fear not, all back Trendsetters will be featured on there too with many more snaps too. Hope you enjoy the new feature!
