THE OUTFIT EDITION: JELLY SHOES AND PASTEL BACKPACKS

Today I realised that it has been 4 months since I last shared an outfit post and I felt terrible and disappointed that I had let time pass by so quickly. (Things have been slow but I'm working on my blog again now, hurrah!). This evening I also bought my very first DSLR Nikon camera so hopefully this will bring good things for my blog and will enable me to present a lot more content to you. Double hurrah!

A few weeks back I took one of many shopping trips to Liverpool and as the summer is proving to be very hot in England right now, it's hard finding that balance with clothes, we simply aren't used to this heat. Thankfully it was in the late 20's like it has been this past week. I opted for my denim hotpants as I love love love them and they are super comfortable, my new lace panel tee, some adorable ribbon frilled socks, my cheap and cheerful jelly shoes and my fave fave fave backpack. I'll admit, it was only walking down the high street in Liverpool that I realise I has accidentally stepped out as a Topshop advert. Minus the shoes.

MOTO Hotpants - Topshop
Ribbon Socks - Topshop
Glitter Jelly Shoes - Primark
Faux Leather Backpack - Topshop

These are very basic images but I wanted to share something with you. Hope you enjoyed!

WHAT TO WEAR | THE FESTIVAL EDITION

Rejoice! It's my favourite time of year filled with music, fashion and... BBC Three. Yes, it's rare for me to actually attend festivals (unless you count two years I went to Leeds Festival) so I reduce myself, year after year, to watching the highlights on telly. Greg James presenting the highlights is always a bonus.

We're half way through July which means we're halfway through festival season and I'm hopelessly lusting over people's outfits, laughing at their mud ridden legs (I shouldn't laugh really, I've been there and it's a horrible experience) and talking myself out of the rest of the festivals still to come.

It dawned on me that I'm yet to share my ideas and what I would personally like to wear to different festivals.

Hot picks: Kimonos, ankle boots, backpacks, sundresses, playsuits, LOTS OF FRINGING, tie dye, maxi dresses/skirts, flower crows, feather headdresses, floral print, floral/circle/heart/oversized sunglasses, heavy embellishment, statement jackets, rain macs.

If you're in the UK, be prepared and buy wellies! (and don't wear mass amounts of white!)

It's a great opportunity to express yourself, be over the top and as extravagant as you want. You won't be the only wear looking like a human rainbow.

Now you've seen how I would style myself/others, let's seen how other style themselves!
Have any of you been to a festival this year, if so which one and what did you wear?!

Drop me a comment and let me know what you would wear and what you think about my choices.

I'm off to watch T in the Park highlights!

Don't forget, be the best Lana DR you can and stay amazing! xox

TRENDSETTER TUESDAY - STYLE BLOGGER EDITION: CHARLOTTE FISHER

After a month of zero Trendsetter Tuesday posts, I'm returning in favour of my style blogger crush of the moment, Charlotte Fisher, pastel queen and owner of Things I Do, Think and Buy!

My love for her blog and outfits came a few months back when I discovered this little gem on Instagram, obsessed with her own pastel obsession and the amount of pink I found within her posts, major weakness!

I find it incredibly refreshing when bloggers I admire incorporate brands such as Primark in their every day outfits, it shows how their items can be completely transformed when paired with the correct garments and how accessible it is as a store.

I seriously have not been this shoe envious since I swooned (and cried) over Danielle Bernstein's Miu Miu loafers.

The amount of pink draws me in everytime, whilst it's my favourite colour it's not a colour I often wear, however after seeing Charlotte's posts, I've found myself buying much more colour and trying to abandon my monochrome ways.

Take a look at her ultra swoon-worthy outfits.

WARNING: May cause a cavity with sweetness overload. Have a dentist on standby. And your bank card.

Well done Charlotte, you really are super incredible.
