HARRY STYLES AND GUCCI HAIR

Since starting university in September, free time has felt relatively sparse (save for a few evenings or weekends when I've had a super productive week) which is why my little blog has fallen by the wayside since August (aside from my new wave of travel posts).

So why not share with you some of the work that has kept me away from you all?

Our most recent project, in Fashion Promotion, was to create 4 magazine covers for publications of our choice based on our research of their readership, which sounds relatively easy until a tonne of artistic techniques are thrown your way. Suddenly your head is reeling with a million and one ideas that seems way too out of reach for a six-week module.

I have mixed reviews with my final pieces, things I would change if I could, components I'd add etc, however overall I'm pretty impressed with what I produced.
Besides, who doesn't love Harry Styles with Gucci print hair?

Now that semester is over, I'm busy busy busy with the newest project that has the quickest turnaround, so who knows when you'll next see me?

Has anyone else recently started their second semester? What are you studying?

IT'S OH SO QUIET

Do you ever feel like time is passing by so quick that you don't have time to catch your breath? That's precisely how I feel right now.

Work is becoming the worst slog, I'm forever trying to make plans, my eyes are nearly at the point of needing matchsticks to be propped open, and don't even mention squeezing in blog time. It's virtually a no go. And to top it off, I've had a portfolio to complete and a university interview to prepare for.
It's something I've briefly mentioned on Twitter, and now one of my recent blog posts, that I will be attending university in September. With 2 unconditional offers under my belt, last Monday I confirmed my place for University of South Wales and it finally feels real. And how do I feel? Nervous, excited, happy, sick and every other related emotion that comes with such a life changing event.

Now that my place is finally confirmed, I know what I'm doing. It's so hard to plan out your year calendar when you're not sure were you'll be, and of course I have to buy everything in preparation. But am I certain this is worth it? I've never been so sure of anything in my life. The education, the social aspect, the independence - it's everything I need right now - it's hope and a new life that I've been craving for as long as I remember.
And where does my trusty little bog fit into this? Well for starters I'm studying Fashion Promotion which will require further work to my blog and more attention, I'll be around like minded people which will help me gain more inspiration, and it also explains why I've been so dormant this past month. That portfolio was one hard task!

Hopefully I'll be back to my old self now I'm a little more settled - despite the looming prospect of sorting out accommodation and student finance - and I'll have some posts to share with you lovely and patient souls.
I'd love to read all of your university stories so please leave comments and links below!

And I promise, I'll tone down the university talk. Soon.
