LIVE THE LFW WAY

Buildings have always fascinated me, I have a strong architectural appreciation so you can imagine my joy when I viewed Somerset House in person. I'm not sure whether the fashion or the building thrilled me more. Whilst taking in my surroundings, I believe I said to my mum 'I really don't have enough eyes to take all of this in!'

Awe much?
As soon as I stepped out of the elevator I was greeted with the list of goings-on in the area, it felt so weird but new and exciting.
The most surreal thing was seeing the LFW signs in person, even if the 'L' was broken. Oops.

How gorgeous are these bags?!
These robes are so so beautiful and these girls looked spot on.
Look at these buildings!

I think I want to live in this outfit forever.

It was so beautiful seeing so many different outfits and arrangements. I left feeling so inspired and determined to be attending shows myself next year. The whole set up was simply amazing, I'm just mad that I didn't photograph many people!

Who is up for a London trip next LFW?!
(Seriously, anyone is welcome to join me for a little LDN fashion mini break :) )

Also, shout out to my awesome mum for taking my outfit snaps and for accompanying me on this trip.

VIVA LA LONDON

London Fashion Week sadly drew to a close on Tuesday afternoon after hosting a whole range of new emerging designers as well as the biggest names Britain has to offer, and whilst I didn't attend any shows or events (sob sob), I did go to London anyway to get involved with the festivities and the buzz surrounding one of the biggest events in the fashion calendar.

I am slightly ashamed to admit that I did not go to the flagship Topshop store on Sunday to watch the show live despite being on Oxford Street, but did I really want to be cramped in the store with heavens knows how many other people? Maybe next time.

However, I did attend the Q&A at Miss Selfridge with former Trendsetter Tuesday gal Laura Whitmore. It was absolutely wonderful to see her and hear her views on items and how different body types can still dress similar with certain garments. She definitely made me want a white leather jacket! And silver heeled platform shoes.

I look tres tres awkward, but who can resist a Topshop OOTD?
How incredible is the Lykke Li window at And Other Stories?! Lust lust lust.
I was so obsessed with the black cab's advertising Net-A-Porter!

October London shopping spree, here I come!

THE FASHION WEEK EDITION: LONDON FASHION WEEK - DAY 5

The final day of London Fashion Week started out really strong (the little sickening red hearts next to the designers names in notebook proves this), sadly as the day progressed, the hearts dwindled. I still manage to scoop out five that interested me.

Marques'Almeida (9am)
Anya Hindmarch (10am)
Simone Rocha (11am)
Osman (12pm)
Simongao (5:30pm)
Other designers showcasing on the final day was; Zoe Jordan, Fashion East, Tata-Naka, Barbara Casasola, KTZ and Meadham Kirchhoff.

What were your highlights from the final day of London Fashion Week?

THE FASHION WEEK EDITION: LONDON FASHION WEEK - DAY 4

It's Day 4 already (well obviously not in real time, I've just hit day 4 of last week's London stint) and sadly I found it harder to find multiple collections that were bold and innovative enough that made me stop and appreciate the materials and prints and efforts of the design. Of course I still found some I love. The moment I saw 2 pictures from the Burberry Prorsum show last week I was practically weeping into my duvet over how beautiful and adventurous the designs were. Painting induced prints are a new favourite. That and initial printed capes. (Burberry models are hella lucky.)

Take a look at my highlights.

Huishan Zhang (9:30)
 Erdem (12pm)
Issa (1pm)
Burberry Prorsum (2pm)
David Koma (3pm)

Other designers showcased; Antonio Berardi, Christopher Kane, Roksanda Illincic, Whistles, Mother of Pearl, Peter Pilotto, Michael van der Ham, Giles, Tom Ford, and Ashish.

What were your Day 4 highlights?

Join me tomorrow for my verdict on the final day of LFW!

THE FASHION WEEK EDITION: LONDON FASHION WEEK - DAY 3

Sometimes it amazes me how little I love a collection, the strain upon finding at least one garment I personally deem acceptable or practical, but then other collections throw me a different way and I'm so captivated and fascinated and in love with absolutely everything that it's refreshing. Day three brought me to this realisation twice, the realisation that I can actually fall madly in love with material and prints and the general structure of how stunning an item or collection can be.

Pringle of Scotland (9:30am)
Margaret Howell (10am)
Richard Nicoll (11am)
Marios Schwab (12pm)
Temperley London (2pm)
Topshop Unique (3pm)
palmer//harding (4:30pm)
Vivienne Westwood Red Label (5pm)
Mary Katrantzou (6pm)
Matthew Williamson (7pm)
I hate how little of the Temperley London collection you can see, but narrowing it down to my favourites was too difficult. The whole collection is painfully stunning and I'm heavily in love with pretty much every design. I seriously urge you to check out the collection here.

Other designers showcasing that day were; Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Mulberry, Sophia Webster, Nicole Farhi, Toga, Ryan Lo, Paul Smith and Jonathan Saunders.
