UNIVERSITY ROOM INTERIOR INSPIRATION

What a pretty pastel room. The framed plant the festoon lights hanging from the curtain rail give it such a cosy feel!:
It's Sunday and I'm thinking about what to take to uni with me - again. That's honestly all I'm thinking about lately, even more than what uni is actually going to be like.

I have the most regimented notebook of my different uni lists with the items right now down to bathroom cleaning supplies and a took kit but the big dilemma is how to best design my room. Right now I'm still unsure whether I'm going to be designated a standard or premium room (that's the one I've opted for and I won't know until August!) so it's hard knowing what space I'll have to play around with.

My ideas included lots of white, gold and a splash of black in details and prints, or grey, white, dusky pink and copper, but that's still subject to change because I'm so fickle and I really have to be practical with the new room. I definitely can't take the minimal approach when it's one room filled with 22 years of belongings.

So whilst I procrastinate buying items I need, here's some university room inspiration fro those off to uni this year, or perhaps moving into a studio flat/apartment.

I'm so keen on keeping rooms light, bright and full of fairy lights, my uni room will definitely be no different! Fairy lights are so so cheap, you can pick them up in Primark for as light as £1.50 for a string of 20 lights, time to create that super room.

Also, find yourself some fun bedding, you can purchase some designs so cheap which will really bring character and a different feel to your room every time you change your sheets!

When studying I think it's safe to say that we all want the most awesome office/desk area/corner kinda thing, we want something Instagram/Pinterest-worthy, but in reality there's just not that much space in your rented room. But that doesn't mean you can't liven it up with pretty quote prints, coloured boxes and pretty desk supplies, maybe even a little potted plant, so get searching early!
Love these ladies and this fun project with cubby holes. Hello organization.:
Ikea is everyone's best friend, especially when you're an away-from-home student, so this kitchen trolley (left) is perfect as a bedside table, storage holder, kitchen bestie or bathroom companion. Pretty neat for less that £50, right? You can purchase the Raskog trolley here, or any of the kitchen trolleys here.

Pinterest has been the best source for finding checklists, DIY hacks and multiple blog posts that can help you with preparing for the big old move so I thought I'd be that good t'internet sister and link some to you;
