THE FOOTBALL STYLE EDIT: MARSEILLE 24/25 GK 125TH ANNIVERSARY SHIRT

This. Shirt. I popped into Didsbury for a little charity shop mooch, I did not have high hopes because I seem to be horribly unfortunate in thrifting things I like and for good prices. However, the very first shop I went into (thanks RSPCA) had a Man City zip jacket (10 sizes too big for me whatever) and this shirt.

As soon as I saw it I fell in love. It's so simple, plain black with a black sponsor logo, just the Olympique de Marseille logo on it in white. So classy, so neat, and at £5 it wasn't being put back on the rail.

At first glance I thought it was a cute cropped shirt, when I returned home I realised someone had actually hacked the bottom of the shirt off so it's massively jagged and uneven, but if tucked into something it's not noticeable, and I could look into have it properly hemmed. It's nice to not have to crop it myself by tying a bobble around the excess material, tucking into my waistband with it bagged over or having it hanging halfway down my thighs.

When I searched for the shirt online, I found out it was Marseille's 24/25 goalkeeper shirt for their 125th anniversary. When I rolled the sleeve cuffs back, I found it was white with 1899 printed around the band, so clearly I'm rolling the sleeves back every time I wear it because how cool is that?

In a suuuuuuper weird turn of events, a few weeks after I bought this, Man City signed Marseille keeper Geronimo Ruilli (who I saw sporting the shirt in a photo on his Instagram!).

This shirt can be styled by anything because it's so versatile, but I opted to pair it with this New Look white linen ruffle skirt, black platform mules and a Love Moschino black shoulder bag. Currently, as I write this, I'm wearing the outfit paired with a black leather look gilet too, feeling v cute.
