TOP PICKS OF 2014

This year I have fallen in love with a number of things - people, clothes, products, books, shows, albums - you name it and I've probably loved it.

Last year I shared my top 20 clothing items of 2013, this year I wanted to share more.

I've found myself loving make up more than ever, my candle obsession has increased tenfold and I bought TWO new cameras. Addicted.

So in no order, here are the things that I've loved throughout this year.

Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' Foundation - Not a day passes by without me slapping some of this on my face.

Soap & Glory - A range of S&G products have had me obsessed (and parting with a lot of money) this year. With Boots often having a 3 for 2 deal on them, it's hard to stop myself!

Real Techniques Stippling Brush - This was my first RT brush, after trying it for the first time I couldn't believe I hadn't ever tried them before. They are heavenly and this brush is perfect for applying my foundation.

iPhone 5c - I joined the Apple crew this year! After lusting over iPhones for years, I finally jumped aboard and I'm glad I did. The downside is the lack of cool covers for my model.

Topshop Lip Bullet 'Back in the Game' - One thing you should know about my best friend is that she's a terrible influence. Yes, she influenced me to buy this lip bullet but it's such a blessing because I don't think I could live without it.

Topshop 'Drive' Lipstick - I'm pretty sure I couldn't live without this one either, I'm a sucker for purple lips and with this being a similar colour to Lush's 'Drive', I couldn't resist.

Yankee Candles - Heavenly. Scents. No. Money. Left. Need I say more?

Nikon D3200 - I finally spent the last of my 18th birthday money (yes, I did celebrate my 21st the other week) on the thing I intended to buy 3 years ago, a DSLR! I love it so much and I definitely want to make more use of it for my blog next year.

Fujifilm Instax - Pink camera, instant pictures, pretty film. I'll just leave it there.

Next Grid Pants - If you follow me on Instagram or you're friends with me then you will definitely know my black and white grid pants. Most worn trousers in the world but still my ultimate go to. It's a crime that they only cost me £18.

Topshop Aeon Boots - It's been nearly a year and I'm still as obsessed and still as in love with them as I was in the beginning.

Topshop Ripped Jamie Jeans - No jeans have ever fit me as well as Jamie jeans and black ripped knee trews are my guilty pleasure.

Kids In Glass Houses hoodie - This isn't fashion-y or hip but it's so special to me because it's my favourite band's farewell sweatshirt. My ultimate go to when I'm feeling down or cold.

Paperchase & Lush - I've been positively in love with both stores this year. I definitely have a stationary addiction thanks to Paperchase.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - The greatest thing to have entered my life. Thank you Garnier.

Orange Is The New Black - What a show. Thanks Netflix!

I also created a playlist of my favourite songs of the year on my 8tracks here.

There are probably 1 millions other things I forgot to mention, ones I'll remember in the New Year, but these stood out to me the most.

What things have you been loving this year?

CUPCAKES & CELEBRATIONS

The festivities and celebrations continued just after my birthday, with a family meal on the Friday night and a night out with friends on the Saturday night, it was great to catch up with people and enjoy myself.
How divine are these cupcakes that my mum had made for me? They incorporate all of my favourite things.
Cupcakes? Check. Pink? Check. Daisies? Check. All for me? CHECK.
Here is what I wore for the meal with family. I've been itching to wear this Primark sheer-back waistcoat with my Topshop cropped trousers. Despite the fact they aren't an actual suit/to-piece, they work quite well together, don't they?

I've been friends with Georga since we were both eleven/nearly twelve years old, it wonderful that despite how different our lives are after school ended, we've still remained good friends.
Isn't my Topshop x Kate Moss dress incredible? Cannot believe I managed to snatch it up for just £27 in the sale after it was originally £95! I'm also so obsessed with these silver platform shoes from Miss Selfridge, after obsessing over them during LFW (Thanks to Laura Whitmore), I couldn't resist them for £24! They are still available in sizes 7 & 8 here.

All in all, I had a brilliant birthday and I still can't believe I'm 21! I still look so young.

FUR COATS & CITY NIGHTS

Twenty One, It's hard to believe I'm that age already.

I spent my birthday alongside my mum and my best friend Laura in Manchester, it was quite a quiet night away but still as enjoyable and celebratory as ever. Well minus the fact no bars were open past 11 so we opted for a Sambuca shot at the hotel bar at midnight. I mean, afterall the spirit has my name in it, right?

We had a lovely meal at Nandos and my mum forced me wear my 21 balloon wrapped around my wrist.
Yes, those are cat ears that I felt silly enough to wear. I felt a little like Taylor Swift.

I spent Thursday wandering the city, opening my cards and drinking hot chocolate in Costa once my nan arrived and everything felt so relaxed and chilled.
Going into stores like Selfridges and Harvey Nichols always make me feel emotional, seeing designer bags elicits such an insane emotion from me. Moschino was absolutely no exception.
I spent the evening at the Trafford Centre because it's pretty much my favourite shopping centre in England, there's such a wonderful vibe from it and it's so incredibly beautiful.
I'm a sucker for anything with colour (obviously except for my clothes, I can't shake the monochrome thing), I've always wanted to try macaroons so now I'm mad I didn't do this on my birthday. Don't they look so pretty though?
My favourite part about having my birthday so near to Christmas is that everywhere you go is covered in decorations everything looks beautiful.

All in all, I had a great birthday. I'll post some pictures in my next blog posts of my gifts I received along with some more outfits.
